INGREDIENTS:
Beef 35% (tripe, meat, lung, heart, liver, cartilage), lamb 35% (meat, bone, cartilage), salmon 22% (salmon with bone), vegetables, fruits, and oils 8% (broccoli, lettuce, apple, carrot, cold-pressed sunflower oil, camelina oil (Camelina sativa)).
Bone content: ~8%.
This equals ~16% bony meat in the meal, as bones make up only ~half of bony meat.
Did you know?
Calcium levels vary drastically between bones—poultry bones contain less, while mammalian bones have more. This makes it impossible to specify an exact "ideal" bone percentage for BARF meals. For homemade BARF, 15–25% is a general guideline, adjustable based on bone type. (Small deviations of a few % are harmless, but long-term excess or deficiency is not ideal.)
